Omnivore's Dilemma: Young Readers' Edition chap. 18
Precis: Getting a hunters license was more work than usual because we have to go to class so we coud learn about this stuff. However getting a gun in california involved no work at all, anyone could get a high powered rifle there. After going through the hunting classes i was finally able to go hunting. Once i knew i was going to be able to hunt i got very excited. Once i was at beverly hill's it made me realized dat i haven't been seing the world like i have in a long time.
Quote: On page 212, " But looking for food did change the way i looked at nature. It made me look more closely at everything. It made me pay attention in a way i haden't in years."
Thoughts: I cant believe it made him realize that he hadn't seen the world this way. Are there more people like this due to the foods we have and how easy it is to obtain food?
