I believe that prom is something that impacts everyones life, however some decide to not attend for their own reason. But for those who do attend, prom for the most part is a time in ones life where they transform from a little kid to an adult. I believe that Prom is also a special event in ones life where everyone that attends tries to outshine everyone else to give themselves the feeling that they are the center of attention at their prom and it's there night to live up. For examples girls even those that don't dress classy (most of the time) go to prom wearing a nice dress and nice dress shoes because they want that night to be a night to remember.
I also believe that prom is a good bye party. One final night to have a good time with your fellow classmates because after that day you will probably be heading to collage which means not seeing your friends as much as you usually do. It is also a finishing if one chapter and the beginning of another chapter. So prom is kind of like the turning point of a book where everything is starting to turn good because like the turning point of a book, prom is a stressfree part of your school life where everything has turned good and everyone is rejoicing.
