HW 51 - Second Third of COTD Book

In the second part of the book Mark Harris insights the reader with facts on how to handle and care for the dead. Evelyn Mckenna after being married with Ed Mckenna  for almost 16 years dies. Ed was devastated by this fact and  had to make a bunch of decisions for his wifes funeral. The first decision Ed Mckenna had made was to  bury his wife in a basic casket, which is usually made from pine or other inexpensive, common material. He also decided to have his wife buried were the other people in his family got buried. Similar to the story of Ed Mc kenna, Robert smith also suffers from having a dead wife who he has bein with for ten years.Rboert decided  to have his wife buried in the backyard of his house. He used his judgement on how well he knew his wife to make his decisions on the funeral. He thought that a backyard funeral would be best and what his wife would want because his wife loved those woods.
Quotes:
''Burying the body of a family member on one's own, usually rural, property."
''Your local woodeworer/cabinetmaker may be willing to make a basic coffin for you."
"No law prevents you from burying the cremated remains of your loved ones on your private property, rural or urban."
Analysis:
These two chapeters left methinking about two things. one being, "what are some of the more negative things when getting a basic casket?" And the other being, "Has there ever bein any unjust events occuring where the govt. Will not allow you to bury someone on your private property? In addition to the second part of the book. I found it interesting how a basic casket cost way less than a regular casket. I also found interesting how backyard burials mainly happen in rural areas.
